We had this little 3 drawer chest at the shop for a while. She was pretty plain and not in great shape. Sometimes we have to draw the line and say, "this piece is in just too bad of shape to sell." Well I was not going to give up on her.
I have been wanting to try a union Jack design, so I decided to it on this small piece. I painted her in Paris Grey and added a cross in Old White. When I finished with the first cross, I loved the way she looked, so I decided to leave her this way.
She is still not in great shape, and I don't think she is sellable, but I love her all the same, so she will stay with me. I think she's lovely. A little swiss, a little fist aid, a little better.
Now...what am I going to practice my union jack on? Stay tuned...

I personally think this is a lot more unique than the union jack!!! You see that one everywhere...this reminds me of Imogene and Willie :) and their shop logo....

I love your dresser! I have one that is painted an off-white color, I wonder what it would look like with a pale grey cross... hmmm... thanks for the inspiration! :)

She's a lovely little piece. Too bad she's not in good enough shape to sell, but she's great to look at! I like it simple, with just the cross, too.

She looks just lovely. I’m glad you kept her. I’m sure no one else could have loved her or made her look better than she does now.
